Shropshire way half mamathon challenge!
Run report (ish) Very wet and muddy but the rain held off mostly. Two loops, first had two big climbs, second had two also but the last 4ish miles where all down hill or flat, unfortunately couldn' t get up speed due to mud, In fact it may have been the slowest mile! The organisers were brilliant, food on half way and end. Fidgety pie is a new experience x Follow the instructions and you will be fine! (Remember to print and take with you) I recommend it for beautiful countryside and I will go again next year, hoping for dry paths so I can run/ walk . Parking was sorted on a field but when we arrived we were told to park at connexus which was not muddy at all and closer to the discovery centre. Registration was in the discovery centre and we got to see part of the displays when finding out or cards. You have to self click 3 times and you get clicked at the half way , 15 km and the end. We got to go up the foley too which was nice! More steps up and it was windy but lovely views! Most important tip- print the instructions to carry with you! Some had gps technology but we did it old school, map and the description did us proud and we save a few from going wrong too. I know others did the full mamathon and that looked awesome x |
