Last Sunday I ran the Blymhill shotgun 10k .

To be honest I had never heard of the village , not far from Weston park . It was a small but very well organised race , not put on by a running club but the village community.

The race was mainly off road on very wet and muddy fields , but great fun . There is nothing like being covered in mud on a Sunday morning.

​There were very few runners clubs entered so maybe one to look out for next year I managed 2nd in age and the only other Wrekin was the very fast Mary Anne 1st in age and 3rd lady overall.
