club ​Committee Roles

Chairperson – Adrian Talbot
  • Provides leadership on all aspects of the club, ensuring the club constitution and terms and conditions of England Athletics are upheld. With the support of the Committee, the Chairperson is responsible for key planning of the club’s activities and assisting the club to fulfil its responsibilities towards club welfare and safeguarding.

Vice Chairperson – Sam Lawrence
  • Deputizing: Serving as the chair in their absence, leading meetings, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization.
  • Assisting the Chair: Supporting the chair in their duties, providing advice, and helping with decision-making.
  • Delegated Responsibilities: Taking on specific tasks or projects assigned by the chair.
  • Building Relationships: Working closely with the chair to establish a constructive relationship and share responsibilities.

Secretary – Allison Haycox
  • Provides administrative support to the role of chairperson. The Secretary is responsible for the planning and recording of club meetings, managing the club grievance and disciplinary policies and ensuring the club applies for and receives its London Marathon club places entitlement 


Treasurer – Amanda Ellis
  • Responsible for managing the club’s income and expenditure, maintaining the club’s bank account and reporting to the club committee on all financial matters.  The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining all relevant financial records and producing end of year reports to support the committee in planning and budgeting for the club’s future.


Membership Secretary – Donna Howells
  • Manages the club affiliation and athlete registration and renewal processes for all members. The Membership Secretary is responsible for maintaining records of all members, updating Facebook group membership and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Welfare Officers – Andy Christian and Esther Whitten
  • Responsible for implementing and promoting appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures within the club.  The Welfare Officers are the trained contacts for members wishing to raise concerns on any issues related to safeguarding.


Website and Social Media – Adrian Talbot
  • Provides technical support maintaining and updating the website and social media pages on behalf of the club.


Club Kit – Sue Goodall and Rich Pepper
  • Working with the Treasurer, responsible for sourcing suppliers and fulfilling orders for club branded items of kit for club members.
